Meet the Coaches

Experienced, qualified race coaches behind every Podium camp

Coaching at Podium

Podium has trained ski racers since 2000, and our coaching team is the heart of what we do. Between them they hold BASI Trainer and Level 4 qualifications, BASI Demo Team places, FIS and national-programme experience, and decades on snow across the Alps and beyond.

Meet the team below.

Coach Dave Morris

Dave Morris

Founder

Dave founded Podium and remains one of our most experienced coaches, with more than 20 years coaching ski racers in the Alps. A BASI Trainer of over two decades, he has coached athletes from FIS level through to Europa Cup. His coaching philosophy is simple: solid fundamentals raise your ceiling, so time spent on simple focuses pays off, an approach with proven results year after year.

Blake Williams, Podium ski race coach

Blake Williams

Director

Blake is a Director of Podium, a race coach of 15 years and a BASI Trainer of 10. Alongside Podium he is a performance coach within the Paralympic programme for GB Snowsports, and works with Snowsport Scotland and Snowsport England. His philosophy: building skiers who are technically sharp, mentally durable, and still in love with the sport when the results come.
