Les Deux Alpes is home to the largest skiable glacier in Europe, rising to 3,600m. Its high-altitude area runs straight on from the winter season and is used principally for ski racing, professional training and teaching, including by the French national team.
Summer skiing runs through the morning when the snow is at its best, with May and June especially prized for race training before the wider summer season.
